Use Of Ascenders on dynamic rope

Hey All. I'm new to all of this and was just wondering if using petzl ascenders on a dynamic rope will damage the rope??? the teeth look pretty brutal!

You are more likely to get damage to a dynamic rope from where it rubs on rock near the edge or top - pad with something - the rope wll me moving up and down quite a considerable amount at that point due to its elasticity
