Pat made the FA of her 2009 challenge Karim Sar in a solo push from a high camp where climbing partner Paul Hersey waited for her.

Yes and he had a couple of cold nights without sleeping bag at the top camp - he had gone up just to belay Pat through a rock band and was then going to go back down.At that stage I gather (Paul or Pat add a correct version and I will edit this) he was feeling better and would have gone on if he had brought up enough gear
