Climbing partner for North Island

Hello Everyone,
I'm from the UK, have just graduated and have come to NZ for a bit of travel and, if funds drain away too quickly, a bit of work as well. Whilst I'm here I would love to improve my climbing and hit the mountains later on. I've mostly just been doing bouldering back home, up to grade V4, but just before I left I started sport climbing and did a one day session at trad. I've brought a handful of quickdraws with me, harness, stitch plate and shoes, but no rope. Got a car and will be driving from Opotiki up to Auckland for the 6th of November. If anyone in between fancies a climb (Rotorua, Taupo, Wharapapa etc) before that date then shout. After that I can travel to pretty much anwhere in North Island to meet.

Hi. I'm also coming from Canada. Manitoba in fact. I arrive in Auckland early on the 8th of November, and I'll have a rope and draws. I'm coming mainly to boulder but sport climbing would be solid too. I'll post again when I'm there and if your still around I'd be game to get out asap. Oh I lead in the 11's if it makes a difference. peace.

Hi George, I'm a climber from Canada and I too am looking for a partner for the North Island. I'm in Auckland at the moment. I have my own vehicle as well and am hoping to hit the road in the next couple of days. I have a bit if a driving route planned as well, down Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, then Taupo. There's a good chance we may be able to sort something out. I lead up to about 11a sport and 10a trad but haven't climbed in a couple of months so no promises there! I have a rope, draws, trad gear, and all of the rest. How long I spend on the North Island depends on climbing partners so I may still be available after Nov 6. Def available before Nov 6.
