Climbing as a Olympic sport .....

OK so its the winter olympics and I'm a tad biased as I think ice climbing (as a example, it currently has lots of comps in the northern hemishere anyway) has more relevancy then the biathalon.

How does a sport get into the olympics and does it change once admitted? Whats the go out there....
