Ascent of Nasees Spire

The pair were part of a SPARC-funded expedition including Bruce Dowrick and Scot Standen, also of Wanaka. Unfortunately Scott and Bruce became ill and couldn't make a summit attempt.

The climb consisted of ten pitches, the hardest at grade 25.
